Ricardo Mavila, Board Member

I met Jesus at age 17 right when I finished high school, I believe he led me to study English and communications for he has used me in those area of ministry, at age 19 started working at the Christian tv channel here in Peru and around that time I met my first mission team which got me very interested in that area of service. Later on started serving as a translator for teams and before I knew it I was managing teams and setting ups operations for different agencies. When I was 30 I got married and my wife Kelsey has been a great spiritual support and has become a awesome mother for our 2 kids Samuel (5) and Arianna (3). We are living by faith and every day we trust God for provision and health that can only come from him.

Gary Krier, Board Member

I am 60+ years old, married with 3 children and 5 grandchildren. I am excited about serving the Lord the rest of my life. I believe we are living in some exciting times and we are called to spread the good news of the Gospel. The harvest is white and we must go out now.

I was working a busy and successful building career about 15 years ago when I found the Lord Jesus Christ and accepted Him as my Lord and Savior. From that day I have been seeking to follow Jesus Christ and to do His will in my life. It has not been an easy journey, but one of tremendous spiritual growth and trust in the Lord. Through this walk with the Lord and through divine appointments from Him, I have met several awesome pastors and men of God to advance my spiritual growth, trust, love, and service to the Lord.

Meeting Matt and Richard & Joyce Vagle was one of those divine appointments that brought me into the mission field. My heart is for the lost and God arranged a way for me to get into the mission field with Matt and Richard; I felt that He truly blessed me with my heart’s desire to serve Him in a new way. Since going to Peru with Matt & Richard in 2008, I have gone on 7 other mission trips as the short term mission trip coordinator for my church. I am so excited about being part of the trip back to Peru this year. I will be joining Matt and Richard team with a team that I will be organizing to be a part of the overall team for the trip this year.

As we organize teams to go on mission trips, it is not just about evangelizing, or building, or teaching, or equipping the people we meet in the mission field. One of the biggest blessings I have noticed from bringing team members on mission trips is changed lives. Not so much change lives of the people we meet in the mission field, but changed lives and hearts of the people we bring on these trips. I have witnessed missionaries changing their outlook on life to the fullest. I even had one young lady change her major in college from teacher to nurse. She wants to go back and serve in the mission field as a nurse. There are many other examples, but mostly our team members come back home and want to serve God in a new and fuller way. They realize that having stuff is not that important anymore as they witness the joy in the people we meet in the mission field who do not have anything, and is much greater than our joy here in the USA where we have so much.

Come and join us on our next trip to Peru. You will be blessed beyond your imagination!
